Elderly man, three others nabbed in Bacolod buy-bust operation

BACOLOD CITY – Four drug personalities, including a senior citizen, were arrested as authorities raided an alleged drug den at Purok Kagaykay, Barangay 2 here on Friday, Feb. 17.

Capt. Joven Mogato, head of City Drug Enforcement Unit (CDEU), identified the subject as Rogelio Climaco, 64, a street level individual.

Also arrested during the raid were Joemarie Obero, 35, of Barangay Singcang-Airport here, Miguel Cadagat, 40, of Barangay Sum-ag here, and Remy Mujares, 41, of Barangay 13. The three arrested drug suspects are all newly-identified individuals.

Mogato said that 18 grams of suspected shabu worth P122,400 were seized from them.

Mogato said it took them three days to monitor Climaco after they received information from a concerned citizen, said Mogato.

Mogato said the three suspects were caught allegedly holding a pot session inside Climaco’s house during the operation.

All four suspects are detained at Police Station 2.
