10 drug pushers arrested in weeklong operations in Cordillera

LA TRINIDAD, Benguet – Ten drug pushers were arrested in a week-long anti-illegal drugs operation conducted by the Police Regional Office-Cordillera from Feb. 5 to Feb. 11.

The Regional Operations Division (ROD) also reported that a total of 6.12 grams of shabu, 80 ml of marijuana oil, and 32.80 grams of marijuana leaves and fruiting tops with an overall standard drug price of P49,552 were confiscated from the buy-bust operations.

Of the 10 drug personalities, five were arrested by Baguio cops. Benguet and Abra cops arrested two each and while the Kalinga cops arrested one.

In Baguio City, the arrested drug personalities were identified as Kylon Dumdumaya, 25; Sally Bugtong, 40; Jade Edwas, 22; Jayson Mariñas, 24; and John Christian Velasco, 22, while Jhon Mark Daileg, 24, was arrested in Kalinga.

Klent Darwin, 22, and Eduardo Sotelo Jr., 29, were arrested by the Benguet operatives while the Abra operatives arrested Sherwin Bernal, 36, and Hilbert Pasiguen, 28.

All arrested suspects are now facing charges of violating R.A. 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
