Ryza Cenon reacts to backlash following 'insensitive' meme

"KJ yarn?"

This is what actress Ryza Cenon wrote on Twitter as she shared a screenshot of a netizen's direct message to her.

There, the online user reacted to Ryza's Instagram story, writing: "wow ha ni share mo talaga yung meme sa Twitter about sa character mo sa gma & abs."

"Hindi mo ata alam na nag cause nanaman yan ng network war sa fans, ayon sa fb nag away nanaman mga tards. as far as I know, walang sinabing masama sayo ang gma pati na rin ang mga kapuso fan. ngayon ka na nga lang namin na ramdaman, tas ganun pa ginawa mo? insensitive. Ang laki ng improvement ng GMA sa mga teleseryes tas babalikan pa yung dati. pwee!"

Note that the latter is referring to a meme featuring Ryza's viral scenes from 2016 GMA's "Ika-6 na Utos" and ABS-CBN's "Batang Quiapo."

There, the actress could be seen holding a toy gun and a seemingly real one, respectively.

Meanwhile, Ryza explained her side, pointing out: "Una sa lahat mukha ko pinagtatawanan nyo sa mga memes nyo. Wala rin akong sinabi masama sa GMA. Kesa mastress ako, kagaya mo e maki ride nalang ako para happy lang. Wala naman akong tinatapakan, sa totoo lang sarili ko nga tinatawanan ko e. Kasi ako yung nakalagay."

She quipped: "Uy 2023 na ibahin mo na mind set mo."

Prior, Ryza shared her two cents about the supposed network wars being toxic.

"Hindi naman kailangan mag away away. Love and support lang dapat sa lahat."
