CEBU CITY -- In its bid to provide better healthcare services, the provincial government of Bohol recently opened its ‘Botika sa Kapitolyo’ and Capitol Medical Clinic.
Bohol Gov. Aris Aumentado led the opening of the two medical facilities, which he said will greatly contribute to the province’s progress.
“Even if our province is already progressive but if our constituents or workers are sickly and we cannot take care of them, we cannot achieve our goal of helping our province to progress further,” Aumentado said during the opening on Tuesday, Feb. 14.

The two medical facilities are located beside the New Provincial Capitol.
Aumentado said having the ‘Botika sa Kapitolyo’ and Capitol Medical Clinic is something that the province has been yearning for.
“We’ve been dreaming to have these facilities because it is our goal to help those who are in need of medical help and we also want to help ensure that our constituents are always in good health,” the governor added.
Aumentado said the two facilities will cater to most Boholanos, especially the indigents and workers of the provincial government.
Those who need free medicines will only have to present medical prescriptions.
“The medical clinic will also attend to emergency situations that may happen inside the Capitol compound,” said Aumentado.
