Korean star Song Joong-ki, wife Katy Louise Saunders fly to Hungary

Korean actor and “Reborn Rich” star Song Joong-ki and his British wife, Katy Louise Saunders, left for Hungary on Feb. 16 for his film project.

Song Joong-ki and Katy Louise Saunders were met by the media at Incheon International Airport before they boarded their flight.

Saunders, who is pregnant with their first baby, was wearing a long black skirt. She greeted the media with a wave and bow upon entering the airport. She brought her dog. Song Joong-ki was also wearing a black outfit.

Their departure for Hungary is for his filming of the Netflix movie “My Name is Loh Kiwan.” In the movie, he will play the title role of a North Korean defector who arrives in Belgium with the last hope of life and meets Marie.

Last Jan. 30, Song Joong-ki, 37, announced that he and Saunders, 38, registered their marriage with their first baby on the way.

“And today , we are on our way back after registering our marriage to start our lives as a couple based on deep trust and love,” he announced on his fan cafe.

He said, “Naturally, we wished for the dream of creating a happy family together. We've put in a lot of effort to keep our promises to each other, and thankfully, a precious life has come together between the two of us.”

High Zium Studio, the actor’s agency, said the couple will have a “separate wedding. No specific time or schedule has been set yet.”

This is Song Joong-ki’s second marriage after tying the knot with actress Song Hye-kyo on Oct. 31, 2017. Their wedding ceremony was attended by about 300 guests at The Shilla Hotel’s Yeong Bin Gwan, or Guesthouse. They divorced in July 2019.
