7 human trafficking victims rescued; 2 nabbed in Los Baños ‘extra service’ spas on Valentines


LAGUNA – Authorities rescued seven victims of human trafficking in two separate entrapment operations conducted by the Provincial Special Operations Unit (PSOU) and Los Baños Municipal Police Station (MPS) on Feb. 14, Valentine’s Day.

In a statement, the Laguna Police Provincial Office (PPO) said the Los Baños MPS received a report on two massage spas in the municipality that were offering sexual services.

Arrested during the operations were alias Cherry, cashier of one of the massage parlors, and alias Maria, owner and cashier of the second spa.

Both suspects are now under the custody of Los Baños MPS and are facing charges for violating the Anti-Trafficking in Persons Act of 2003.
