2 high-value drug suspects yield P2.3M ‘shabu’ in San Pablo, Laguna


LAGUNA – Authorities here collared two high-value individuals (HVIs) involved in the illegal drugs trade during a buy-bust operation in Brgy. San Cristobal, San Pablo City on Wednesday, Feb. 15.

The Laguna Police Provincial Office (PPO) identified the suspects as alias Chelle and alias Ryan.

The joint operation was conducted by the San Pablo City Police Station (CPS) and the Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit (PDEU).

Confiscated from the suspects were three large plastic bags of suspected “shabu” weighing 350 grams and with an estimated street value of P2,380,000.

The arrested suspects are now under the custody of San Pablo CPS and are facing drug charges.

The pieces of evidence were submitted to the crime laboratory for forensic examination.

In a statement, Laguna PPO Director Colonel Randy Glenn G. Silvio said the drug personalities were originally from Metro Manila, particularly Parañaque City, and traveled to the province to distribute illegal drugs.
