ZAMBOANGA CITY – Mayor John Dalipe on Monday, Feb. 13, led the inauguration of this city’s mobile command center, a state-of-the-art van that can be deployed for rapid surveillance.

The van costs P20 million and is expected to improve the capability of the command center in the vicinity of the Zamboanga City Hall.
“The customized van is equipped with a video wall, radio communications base, wireless network base, generator set, and CCTV (closed-circuit television camera) server,” said a city hall statement.
The mobile command center has a drone that sends video footage to authorities for real-time coverage. It also has a solar-powered pneumatic pole mast radio, WiFi access, a solar system with battery, and multi-directional camera.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by Vice Mayor Josephine Pareja and city councilors.
