
CAMP DANGWA, Benguet – Ninety-six police and two jail officers from the Police Regional Office-Cordillera and Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) are now fully trained investigators after completing the Criminal Investigation Course (CIC) from October 2022 to February 2023.
The graduates who composed the two CIC Classes 910-2022 and 911-2022 received their certificate of completion during the closing ceremony at the PRO-Cordillera Multi-Purpose Center here on Valentine’s Day.
Six police officers were awarded the Medalya ng Kasanayan (PNP Efficiency Medal) for their outstanding performance during the course.
They are Corporals Nancy Lubante Ognayon (93.10 percent), Raffy Baagen Evasco (93.06 percent), and Gerald Tinag Castro (92.09 percent) from Class 910;
Corporals Geraldine Cosalan Samortin (94.71 percent) and Roderick Calong Tarcelo (93.73 percent), and Staff Sgt. Venichi Sungduan Bagayao (93.05 percent) from Class 911.
Leadership awards were given to Police Executive Master Sgt. Willie Gayaso, class marcher, and class presidents Staff Sergeants Elzer Saltin and Constancio Eloy Jr.
The closing ceremony was graced by Benguet Gov. Melchor Diclas, guest of honor and speaker; Col. Leon Talleo, chief of the Regional Special Training Unit (RSTU), and Col. Damian Olsim, Benguet police chief.
Diclas commended the PRO-Cordillera for their efforts in conducting criminal investigation courses that will enhance the investigative skills and competency of police personnel and improve crime solution efficiency in the region.
