60 couples tie the knot at 'Kasalang Bayan' on Valentine's Day in Muntinlupa

A total of 60 couples achieved their dream of getting married during the “Kasalang Bayan” on Valentine’s Day, Feb. 14, in Muntinlupa.

Mayor Ruffy Biazon officiated the mass wedding held at the Ayala Malls South Park in Barangay Alabang.

"We congratulate each couple for having the courage to commit to each other, 'til death do you part, and we encourage you to always look back to this day you said 'I do' whenever things don't go to plan," said Biazon.

The oldest couple were Ceriaco Padernos, 78, and Irene Centinaje, 77, from Barangay Tunasan.

Gerald Sauler, 21, and Hansel Dela Paz, 22, from Barangay Poblacion, were the youngest couple in the group. Each couple received gift packs and certificates.

Recognized as the most romantic couple were Jhon Christian Ocampo and Lorely Cabiling-Ocampo.

The “Kasalang Bayan” is a project of the Muntinlupa City government through the Community Affairs and Development Office (CADO).

Also present during the mass wedding were Vice Mayor Temy Simundac, Councilors Ivee Arciaga-Tadefa, Rachel Arciaga, Ryan Bagatsing, Paty Katy Boncayao-Barreto, Luvi Constantino, Raul Corro, Alexson Diaz, Dado Moldez and Ting Niefes, and Trina Biazon.
