Caloocan City Mayor Dale Gonzalo “Along” Malapitan has officially declared Feb. 16, Thursday, a special non-working holiday in the city for its 61st founding anniversary celebration.
According to Executive Order no. 006-2023 under Republic Act no. 7550, all residents, including government officials and members of different sectors, are encouraged to take part in the program organized by the city government.
The local government also announced the events lined up on Thursday such as the inauguration of the newly expanded Amparo Nature's Park and Outstanding Citizens Awards (OCA) Night, which is a recognition ceremony for outstanding employees and centenarians in the city.
In line with this, Malapitan invited all residents to join the activities prepared for the Caloocan City Day, still in compliance with public health standards.
