2 Koreans, Filipino cohort arrested in Pasay drug bust


Two Koreans and a Filipino cohort were arrested in buy-bust operation conducted by members of the Pasay City Police Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) on Monday, Feb. 13.

Col. Froilan Uy, city police chief, identified the suspects as Yoan Kyeong Ha, 53; Jae Hoon Kung, both Korean nationals; and Marvin de Leon, alias Noel, 19.

Uy said the suspects were arrested at around 10:45 p.m. on Estrella St. in Barangay14, Zone 1, Pasay City.

He said members of the SDEU conducted an entrapment operation for the arrest of the two Koreans who were both listed in the police gallery as high-value individuals (HVI).

The city police chief said SDEU members confiscated from the arrested suspects two plastic sachets and one partially opened sachet containing about 2.2 grams of shabu worth P14,960.

Police operatives recovered from them one a rolled aluminum foil with traces of shabu, a green lighter, and the P300 buy-bust money.

Uy said the recovered shabu was turned over to the Southern Police District Forensic Unit for chemical analysis.

He said the suspects are now detained at the police custodial facility.

The suspects were charged with possession of illegal drugs, police said.
