Wanted assassin in Batangas nabbed


Police arrested a member of a gun-for-hire group wanted for murder in Batangas in Kabacan, North Cotabato.

Col. Pedro Soliba, Batangas police chief, in a report to Brig. Gen. Jose Melencio Nartatez, Police Regional Office 4-A director, identified the suspect as Rafael Bancoro, 50, a native of San Nicolas, Batangas.

Bancoro was apprehended on a warrant issued by the Regional Trial Court (RTC), Fourth Judicial Region, Branch 86, in Taal, Batangas dated April 26, 2002. The court recommended no bail for the suspect.

Police said Bancoro is a member of the Randy Doce Gonzales gun-for-hire group operating in the second and third districts in Batangas.

Bancoro has been properly documented and is detained at the Santa Teresita Municipal Police Station in Batangas prior to turnover to the court.

Solida lauded the arrest of the suspect.
