Shawarma Shack's Walther Buenavista is among "Rising Tigers: People To Watch 2023"

Shawarma Shack family rejoices as their President and CEO, Walther Buenavista, is one of the recipients of“Rising Tigers: People To Watch 2023” award. Rising Tigers recognizes various people in changing the Philippines and Asia with their significant contribution to their respective fields.

Also known as the “Godfather of Shawarma”, Walther Buenavista were able to grow the Shawarma Shack brand in just almost 8 years, there are already more than 750 stores nationwide offering sumptuous Mediterranean comfort food, providing opportunity of entrepreneurship, and creating jobs to our fellow Filipinos. To date, the company employs more than a thousand individuals as their way of helping them to improve their lives.

Miko Delos Reyes of Imagimax, Congresswoman Margarita Nograles, Rafael Oria, Jr. of Landco, Atty. Arnel Mateo, Dionisio Tan, Jr. of TCI Village Inc., actors Mr. Coco Martin, Ms. Lovi Poe and Ms. Michelle Dee, and Japanese rapper King Tomoro.

The event was hosted in the 1,342 sq. meters Presidential Suite of The Manila Hotel last February 10, 2023. The said venue features the charming union of Filipino and contemporary artistry. The award was handed over to him by the Polish Ambassador H.E. Jarosław Szczepankiewicz and Ms. Maria Rebecca “Becky” Garcia, Founder and President of the Philippine Dance Sport Federation. The awards committee is composed of respected leaders from different chambers, organizations, and embassies.

Walther Buenavista addressed the people upon receiving the award.

Walther Buenavista is continuously making a mark in the food industry here in the Philippines as the company is also very active in having relief efforts for the Filipinos who were badly hit by natural calamities in partnership with Philippine Coast Guards, Philippine National Police and different local government units. He also received various citations from different organizations for all the help he extended.
