Marcos shares Valentine's Day plan; 'very little' free time in Tokyo

Sharing a light moment with members of Manila-based reporters onboard PR001, President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. has shared his Valentine's Day plans.

President Ferdinand ‘Bongbong’ Marcos Jr. talks to the media onboard Philippine Airline Flight PR001.

Although he did not bare his specific plan for the Feb. 14 event, he said he has to do something.

"Good thing you reminded me. I have to do something," he said when asked about his plans for the day.

"Oo nga Valentine’s Day na naman. Aba ang bilis ng panahon (Oh, right it's Valentine's Day again. Time flies so fast). Oh, gosh. Do I have any plans? I do now. Maraming salamat (Thank you)," he added.

The President was also asked whether he had time to go around Tokyo during his five-day official visit in Japan.

He said that he had a brief time off to visit a city outside Tokyo but had to return immediately to attend to his scheduled engagements.

He disclosed that he rode the train to Nagano, outside Tokyo, with some of his friends.

"Very little. Yeah, there was little time to see, to go outside Tokyo pero sandali lang masyado (but it's just brief). We had to go back kaagad (immediately). Ganoon naman talaga ‘yan. Hindi naman ‘to – hindi naman ‘to bakasyon eh (That's how it is. This isn't a vacation in the first place)," Marcos said.

"We came here to finish very many specific things. And that’s more importantly than my making nakagala, pagala-gala doon sa (going around) Japan – more importantly na nagawa talaga natin lahat nung kailangan nating gawin (we were able to do what were supposed to)," he added.

Marcos returned to the country on Sunday, Feb. 12.
