LAGUNA – Authorities collared 13 individuals for illegal cockfighting in the city of San Pablo on Sunday, Feb. 12.
The illegal gambling operation was conducted by San Pablo City Police Station (CPS) and Regional Special Operation Unit 4A (RSOU 4A).
In a statement, Laguna Police Provincial Office (PPO) identified the suspects as alias Pepe, alias Rodencio, alias Sabino, alias Felix, alias Romeo, alias Ronilo, alias Jefferson, alias Felix, alias Ranie, alias Marlon, alias Eufemio, alias Gil, and alias Edga.
Confiscated from the suspects were four fighting cocks, four cockfighting blades or “tari,” and bet money amounting to P5,360.
The arrested suspects are now under the custody of San Pablo CPS and are facing illegal gambling charges.
