PH labor force a 'perfect match' for Japan; Romualdez explains why
House Speaker Martin Romualdez considers the Filipino labor force as a "perfect match" for Japanese society.

In an interview with Manila-based journalists Friday, Feb. 10 in Tokyo, Japan, Romualdez reacted to Japanese businesses and employers' commitment to hire more Filipino workers moving forward.
“The best resource we have is our human capital. We have a very, very young population – anywhere between 23 to 25, 24 yata ang middle age natin (I think is our middle age) – highly educated you know, very trainable, we’re very, very international – so, this is a perfect match, kayo sa Japan," Romualdez said.
As for Japan itself, the Leyte 1st district solon said: "The average here is an ageing or greying population, yet there’s so much in terms of technology, there’s so much in terms of more training or upskilling available but they need the human resource.”
“We want to train, we want to upskill our people, we want to give them better employment opportunities, and they can actually be trained here using Japanese technology or even bring them to the Philippines. So, this type of engagement promotes that type of an interrelationship, and that bodes well," Romualdez further said.
