Ex-drug offender nabbed in Bacolod buy-bust

BACOLOD CITY – Police arrested a former drug offender in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Banago here on Friday, Feb. 10.

The suspect, Joey Galac, 38, of Barangay Banago, yielded 36.74 grams of suspected shabu worth P249,832 and the P200 marked money.

Major Armilyn Vargas, head of Police Station 3, said that Galac is a high-value individual due to his previous arrest for a drug offense.

He was released from jail last year and reportedly returned to the illegal drugs trade, according to Vargas.

Galac is detained at Police Station 3 and faces drug-related charges.
