BACOLOD CITY – Police arrested two suspected drug pushers and seized about 600 grams of shabu valued at about P4 million in a buy-bust operation in Purok Tangigue, Barangay 1, here on Thursday, Feb. 9.

Capt. Joven Mogato, City Drug Enforcement Unit (CDEU) head, said suspects Jhonie Cabrillos, 27, a former construction worker, and his neighbor, Eric Aguirre, 22, residents of Barangay 1, are high-value individuals due to the huge volume of illegal drugs recovered from them.
Mogato said that it took them about three weeks to monitor Cabrillos who was arrested for the first time.
Aguirre was previously arrested for a drug offense but was released when he applied for probation, Mogato said.
Aguirre had surrendered to the police through ‘’Oplan: Tokhang,’’ Mogato said.
Mogato said that Aguirre reportedly acted as a runner of Cabrillos in their transactions.
He said the illegal drugs were believed to be sourced out outside Negros Occidental.
Suspects are detained at Police Station 2 for the filing of drug charges.
