Fetus found floating in Negros city river

BACOLOD CITY – A six-month old fetus was found floating in a river in Barangay Matab-ang, Talisay Cityb, Negros Occidental on Thursday, Feb. 9.

Major Karena Onio, deputy chief of Talisay City Police Station, said the fetus was found by a group of minors who were taking a bath in the river.

Onio believed that the fetus might be a victim of unwanted pregnancy.

She, however, said there were no witnesses who could identify the persons who left the fetus there.

Onio said the fetus might have been dumped in the area a few hours before the discovery.
