7 things to know about the 2023 Aston Martin DBX 707

Aston Martin Manila unveils fastest luxury SUV

Aston Martin and James Bond will forever be linked thanks to the DB5, the DBS, the V8 and Volante, the V12 Vanquish, and even the DB10. You have seen these models, at various points in cinema history, in car chase scenes of the super spy films.

The British brand keeps that connection alive by releasing the newest variant of the DBX. While it has not yet graced any Bond flick, it will be known for many things, including its unique trim name, the 707.

In just over a year, the DBX 707 has become hugely popular thanks to its styling (probably the best sportscar-to-SUV transformation) and its powertrain (it is one of the fastest SUVs in the world). There are more things about this SUV, but if you want memorable, quick facts about it, here are 7 of the best things about the DBX 707.

  1. It's trim level isn’t just a nod to the MI6’s best agent. It is also the output of its AMG twin-turbo, four-liter V8: 707-PS.
  2. If you are wondering about torque, it has 900-Nm.
  3. The DBX 707’s grille is 27% larger than the regular DBX to create more airflow under the hood to cool its large displacement engine.
  4. It can zoom from 0-100 kilometers per hour in 3.3 seconds.
  5. It’s top speed is 310 km/h.
  6. It rolls on 22-inch wheels with Pirelli P Zero tires
  7. The transmission is an AMG nine-speed automatic transmission with a wet clutch pack for faster shifts without overheating in traffic.

Aston Martin calls it one of the “world’s most powerful ultra high-luxury SUVs,” and with specs like that, I will not argue with them. The first local unit of the DBX707 that arrived speaks for itself. It has Phantom Grey Seats with an exclusive Q Collection Color accent, Electron Yellow, which matches the yellow brake calipers. But each model does not have to look like this because each unit can be customized to satisfy the client’s demands and preferences.

If you are wondering how much it costs to drive one of these around Metro Manila, that number is P33.55 million. And that is just for the base model.

Currently, Aston Martin Manila only has one example in the country. It is available for viewing in the service center of the dealership. If your mind is made up and you want one, the wait time is three months.
