China willing to work with PH on Belt and Road Initiative, development — envoy
China is willing to extend its hands to the Philippines in modernizing the latter’s infrastructures and attaining development for the people, its top diplomat in the country said.
Chinese Ambassador to the Philippines Huang Xilian expressed China's readiness to join the country in focusing "on cooperation and development," particularly for the development of the Belt and Road Initiative and collaboration for the Global Development Initiative and the Global Security Initiative.

China would do that "so as to safeguard and promote together regional peace and stability, the true multilateralism and the common interest of the developing nations," Huang said.
"Our two countries are also aimed at making new contribution to accelerating the implementation of the UN 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and building a community with a shared future for mankind," he added.
Huang made the remark as he noted that the peoples of both countries now live in "a world of faster and major changes."
He said the "people's hope for peace, development, cooperation and win-win outcomes has never been greater around the world," so Chinese President Xi Jinping initiated a "thought of building a community with a shared future for mankind and an open, inclusive, clean and beautiful world of lasting peace, universal security and common prosperity, and gives the China solution to global governance."
