“Let’s continue our advocacy to love local and support a scholar,” said Marjorie Florete, Tahum Pop-Up founder.
“We believe in this noble cause of funding a deserving scholar,” added Jennifer Palmares-Fong, first vice president of Megaworld Visayas for Sales and Marketing.
The annual pop-up event was initially held in February 2019 and was named after the Hiligaynon word for beautiful.
As a pop-up, Tahum promoted products not only from Iloilo but also those from Western Visayas region and other parts of the country.
One of the key components of the pop-up’s holiday edition is the Namit Zone featuring food and beverages from restaurants here and Iloilo province. This pays homage to the recent declaration of Iloilo as a Creative City of Gastronomy by the United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization (UNESCO).
