Western Visayas' second most wanted falls

ILOILO CITY – Police apprehended the second most wanted person in Western Visayas on Thursday, December 7, in Tigbauan town, Iloilo province.

The Police Regional Office-6 identified the suspect as alias “Mig,” “Joan,” and “Ron Ron.”

The suspect, a member of the New People’s Army (NPA), was arrested in an operation led by the PRO-6 Regional Intelligence Division. The unit was backed by the PRO-6 Regional Mobile Force Battalion (RFMB), the Tigbauan Municipal Police Station, the Miag-ao Municipal Police Station, and the intelligence unit of the Iloilo City Police Office.

Suspect had warrants of arrest for multiple attempted murder, attempted murder, and double destruction arson.

Also arrested with the suspect were three other NPA rebels, alias “Fe,” “Filomena,” and “Manuel.”

The PRO-6 welcomed the arrest of the four communist rebels.

“Sa atin pong pagtutulungan, kasama ang lahat ng ahensya ng gobyerno pati na din po ng ating mamamayan ay makakamit din po natin ang ating minimithing kapayapaan at kaunlaran,” said Police Brig. Gen. Sidney Villaflor, PRO-6 chief.
