P7-M shabu seized in Cebu City

CEBU CITY – Packs of suspected shabu worth close to P7 million were recovered from two women in Barangay Mambaling here at dawn on Friday, December 8.

Judith Dignos, 43, and Victoria Aida, 59, were arrested in a buy-bust operation conducted by Cebu City Police Office Mambaling Station.

Police Major Jonathan Bethooven Taneo, Mambaling police chief, said 1,017 grams of shabu worth P6,915,000 were recovered from the suspects.

Police said Dignos was listed as a high-value individual (HVI) in the watchlist on the regional level.

Taneo said they had been monitoring the suspects after they received reports that they were into the illegal drugs trade.

Appropriate charges will be filed against the suspects, police said.
