Flaptzy started it all for the Beehive, spearheading the Filipino representatives to a dominant series opener before Super Marco delivered in crunchtime anew to cap the series with a thrilling comeback.
AP.Bren finished atop Group C standings with a perfect 3-0 record while Burmese Ghoul ended up second despite a triple tie for 1-2 slate with Lilgun and Team Flash by virtue of superior point differential.
Bouncing back from a so-so performance in their last match, Flaptzy made sure to make his presence felt in the series opener, leading AP.Bren to a 17-4 win.
Two early kills inside the first three minutes of the contest for Flaptzy kickstarted the engine for Flaptzy who went on to finish with a 8-0-2 KDA on Paquito.
Team Lilgun got some breaks midway through the contest with some turtle and Lord steal but that only delayed the inevitable as Super Marco, upon getting his core items, went on a rampage to dominate the Mongolians during the big team fights.
He finished with a 6-1-5 KDA on the signature Wanwan pick while Owgwen provided the sustain and the setups on his Minotaur to finish with a 0-1-11 KDA.
Fighting for their tournament lives, the Mongolians put up a gallant stand in Game 2, taking a gold lead that went to as many as 4.7K and a kill score advantage of 6-2.
AP.Bren though managed to give Super Marco’s Claude enough space to farm and complete his core items. The star gold lane then scored a clutch double skill in the game’s third Lord dance which ultimately turned the tides in favor of the hometown bets.
Super Marco finished with a 2-0-2 KDA on Claude while Angelo “Pheww” Arcangel, whose Novaria pick played a big role in holding off two Lord sieges from Lilgun, finished with a clean 0-0-6 KDA in the 6-6 come-from-behind win.
