For the second year in a row, billionaire Enrique K. Razon Jr. has been ranked as the sixth Most Influential Person in the 2023 edition of the Asian Gaming Power 50 while his Bloomberry Resorts Corporation also reaped awards.

Asian Gaming Power 50 is a ranking of the 50 most influential and prominent Asian gaming industry leaders and executives by Inside Asian Gaming, Bloomberry said in a statement.

The same awards program heralded Bloomberry Chairman and CEO Razon as Outstanding CEO over his Macau-based counterparts.

Meanwhile, Bloomberry President and COO Thomas Arasi was ranked 37th, an improvement from 38th in the previous year. 

Inside Asian Gaming is a leading gaming and entertainment media brand that has also recognized Bloomberry’s Solaire Resort Entertainment City under the Best Regional Asia-Pacific Integrated Resort (IR) and Best Gaming Floor categories in its annual IR Academy Awards. 

Further attesting to the solid management team behind the company’s and Solaire’s success, Bloomberry won three awards from FinanceAsia's Best Managed Companies Poll 2023. 

Razon was recognized as one of the country's Best CEOs (bronze) and Estella Tuason-Occeña, who is Bloomberry’s executive vice president, chief finance officer, and treasurer, was recognized in the Best CFO category (silver). 

Meanwhile, Bloomberry, as a listed company, received the gold medal in the Philippines’ Best Mid-cap category. The winners of this benchmark poll is based on nominations by Asia’s savvy community of investors and financial analysts.

Bloomberry was dubbed Casino Operator of the Year for the second year in a row in the 2023 iteration of the Global Gaming Awards Asia by Gambling Insider, a leading global gaming media platform. 

The Global Gaming Awards recognize the strongest performers over the last 12 months under various categories across the Asia-Pacific region. The awardees are selected by a panel of 30 senior executives from the APAC gaming industry.

In the 2023 Asia’s Outstanding Companies Poll by Asiamoney, Bloomberry was recognized as the Overall Most Outstanding Company in the Philippines as well as Most Outstanding Company in the Philippines – for both Small/Mid cap and Casinos & Gaming categories. 

This is the second time Bloomberry has been recognized in the same three categories simultaneously.

The poll is designed to acknowledge listed companies that have excelled in areas such as financial performance, management team excellence, IR activities and CSR initiatives.

Bloomberry said it is privileged to be one of only nine corporate recipients of the inaugural Enterprise Asia Linchpin of Asia Awards. 

The prestigious Enterprise Asia Linchpin of Asia Awards is a premier recognition program dedicated to honor the excellent and the best-of-the-best industry leaders and enterprises in Asia.

Bloomberry’s prowess in investor relations and sustainability have also been noted by leading corporate stewardship media publisher Corporate Governance Asia and esteemed business and investment journalism outlet Institutional Investor.

In the 13th Asian Excellence Awards by Corporate Governance Asia, Bloomberry received accolades for Best Investor Relations Company and Asia’s Best CSR— both for the fifth consecutive year.

Bloomberry’s Investor Relations team is comprised of Tuason-Occeña, who was named Asia’s Best CFO for the fifth time; Fritz Lacap, vice president for Business Development and Corporate Planning; Jonas R. Ramos, executive director for Investor Relations; and Robin-Jason S. Venturina, CFA and Investor Relations manager.

Ramos and Venturina were granted the award for Best Investor Relations Professional for the fourth and third consecutive times, respectively.

In Institutional Investor’s 2023 Asia Executive Team Survey, an annual survey administered to buy-side and sell-side investors and analysts covering Asia, Bloomberry was highly ranked across a broad range of categories under the Asia-Pacific (overall) Gaming & Lodging sector. 

Razon was ranked first in the CEO category (sell-side); Tuason-Occeña ranked first in the CFO category (Sell-side); while MRamos ranked first in the Investor Relations Officer category (sell-side). Bloomberry’s Investor Relations program, Investor Relations team, ESG programs, as well as its Board of Directors, also received high rankings. 

Given the company’s outperformance in various categories, Bloomberry was also recognized as one of the Most Honored Companies in Asia-Pacific and is the only Philippine company to make the list.
