NPA stash recovered in Kalinga

PINUKPUK, Kalinga – A New People’s Army stash was recovered in Sitio Butol, Barangay Apatan, this town, on December 6.

Lt. Col. Joel Lucas, commanding officer of the 103rd Infantry Mabalasik Battalion under the 5th Infantry Star Division, said soldiers found three CDX1 anti-tank and personnel mines, five CDX2 anti-personnel mines, a commercial binocular, 50-meter detonating wires, a communist flag, subversive documents, and personal equipment.

Lucas thanked the community for informing them of these, saying it is a manifestation that the people want to live in peace and harmony.

He the successful recovery of these war materials highlights their unwavering commitment to maintaining the peace and security in the province.
