Light rains to prevail over parts of northern Luzon; humid weather in the rest of PH
The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) on Thursday, Dec. 7 said the northeast monsoon and easterlies will be the dominant weather systems in the country in the next 24 hours.

In its 4 a.m. bulletin, PAGASA said Batanes, Cagayan, and Apayao will have cloudy skies with light rains, while Ilocos Region, the rest of Cordillera Administrative Region, and the rest of Cagayan Valley will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains due to the northeast monsoon, or “amihan.”
Meanwhile, Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms caused by the easterlies, or warm winds from the Pacific Ocean.
PAGASA warned the public that flash floods or landslides could occur in the affected areas during severe thunderstorms.
Weather specialist Aldczar Aurelio added that PAGASA has not monitored a low pressure area inside the country’s area of responsibility as of Thursday.
