Keum Saerok described her character Hyeonseo as someone who “is a very realistic, grounded type of person. Her dream is to become a professional pianist but because of realistic issues, she’s struggling.”

She said it was the first time in her life playing the piano “so it was really difficult but I had the best piano tutor.” At home, she used an electronic piano to practice for the drama.

“As I was acting out my character, you get to reconnect with your ex-girlfriend and he feels a lot of different emotions,” said  Steve Sanghyun Noh about his character. “My roles in my past works are quite different from this role. So I’m going to show a new side of myself. This guy is more playful. He is a fun guy.”

“Soundtrack #2” is the acting debut of Sohn Jeong-Hyuck, who plays the role of K.

“Before joining ‘Soundtrack #2’ last year, I was preparing an album that I could not release. I was not having a favorable relationship with music last year. In ‘Soundtrack #2,’ K would write the lyrics for the two characters, Hyeonseo and Suho. I’m very thankful to ‘Soundtrack #2’ because it made me love music even more,” he said.

He added, “This is my acting debut so there were moments that I felt I wasn’t doing great.”

Sohn Jeong-Hyuck is known by the stage name Demian who debuted as a solo artist in Korea in 2020.

This is the first time that Steve Sanghyun Noh will be playing the lead role in a drama project and he said, “I did feel a little bit of  pressure.”

“But this is a new challenge for me, especially when it comes to the character. But we have these wonderful directors and the cast,  Saerok and Jeong-Hyuck. If I go step by step, I can pull it off. I was very excited being part of the show.,” he said.

“Soundtrack #2 is going to be a great show. I hope you enjoy it,” he added.

‘Soundtrack #2’ is available on Disney+.
