'Amihan' to bring light rains to N. Luzon; humid weather to persist elsewhere
The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) on Thursday, Dec. 7 said the northeast monsoon and easterlies will prevail throughout the country.

In its 4 p.m. bulletin, PAGASA said the northeast monsoon, locally known as “amihan,” may bring light rains to Batanes and Babuyan Islands.
Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light amihan rains may also perssit in Ilocos Region, Cordillera Administrative Region, and the rest of Cagayan Valley.
Meanwhile, PAGASA said Metro Manila and the rest of the country may continue to be affected by the easterlies, or warm winds from the Pacific Ocean, which will bring humid weather along with rain showers or thunderstorms.
The public is advised to remain vigilant as flash floods or landslides may occur in the affected areas during severe thunderstorms.
Meanwhile, weather specialist Chenel Dominguez said PAGASA is not expecting the formation of a low pressure area that may affect the country in the next few days.
