77,777 pass September 2023 Licensure Examination for Teachers — PRC


The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announced on Thursday, Dec. 7, that 23,782 out of 50,593—or 47.01 percent for the elementary level, and 53,995 out of 95,969—or 56.26 percent for the secondary level—passed the September 2023 Licensure Examination for Professional Teachers (LEPT).

Dulce Angeline Hernandez Arellano and Chelsea Lipana Tiaga, both graduates of the University of Santo Tomas (UST), topped the LEPT results at the elementary level, averaging 94.40 percent.

Meanwhile, Trilbe Lizann Espina Vasquez of the University of the Philippines Cebu (UPC) topped the secondary level results with an average of 94.80 percent.

The November 2023 LEPT was administered by the Board for Professional Teachers, headed by Dr. Rosita L. Navarro, chairman; Dr. Paz I. Lucido, vice chairman; and Dr. Paraluman R. Giron and Dr. Nora M. Uy, members.

The examination was held on Sept. 24 in Metro Manila; Antique; Bacolod; Baguio City; Batac, Ilocos Norte; Bayambang, Pangasinan; Bohol; Butuan City; Cagayan de Oro; Candon, Ilocos Sur; Catarman; Cauayan, Isabela; Cebu; Davao; Digos; Dumaguete; General Santos; Iloilo; Kidapawan; Koronadal; Legazpi; Lucena; Marinduque; Masbate City; Mati City; Occidental Mindoro; Oriental Mindoro; Misamis Occidental; Pagadian; Palawan; Pampanga; Romblon; Rosales, Pangasinan; Sta. Cruz, Laguna; Tacloban; Tagum City; Valencia City, Bukidnon; Virac, Catanduanes; and Zamboanga.

Passers who wish to participate in the face-to-face mass oath taking must register at the PRC website no later than noon on the day before the scheduled oath taking date.

Inductees must bring a vaccination card or a negative real-time polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) test result obtained within 48 hours of taking the oath.
