10 wanted persons fall in Caraga


BUTUAN CITY – Police nabbed 10 wanted individuals in the Caraga region on Tuesday, December 5.

The Police Regional Office 13-Regional Operations Division, Surigao del Norte Police Provincial Office (PPO), and Surigao del Sur PPO arrested three fugitives each, followed by the Agusan del Sur PPO with two, and the Agusan del Norte PPO and the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG)-13 with one each.

One of those apprehended was tagged as the No. 7 most wanted person in Esperanza, Agusan del Sur.

Suspect was arrested by the Esperanza Municipal Police Station (MPS) for violation of Republic Act (RA) 7610, An Act Providing for Stronger Deterrence and Special Protection Against Child Abuse, Exploitation, and Discrimination, and for Other Purposes.

A warrant of arrest dated September 4, 2023 was issued by the Regional Trial Court, Branch 7, Bayugan City, Agusan del Sur against the suspect. The court an P80,000 bail for his temporary freedom. 

PRO-13 chief Police Brig. Gen. John Kirby Kraft cited the arrest of the suspects.

“These notable accomplishments reflect the efforts of our police officers on the ground to bring wanted individuals to justice,” Kraft said. “Caraga cops are keeping substantial strides in the conduct of manhunt operations against those with warrants of arrest,” he added.
