Bossing Vic Sotto admitted that he panicked when the earthquake struck while his wife and daughter rode the Ferris wheel in Tagaytay last Dec. 6.

During an interview at TV5 in Mandaluyong City on Dec. 6, Vic shared what happened to his wife Pauleen Luna and daughter Tali when he was asked about the Intellectual Property Office's decision to officially recognize him, Tito Sotto, and Joey De Leon (also known as TVJ) as the creators of the popular noontime show "Eat Bulaga."

"Throughout the day, magulo isip ko dahil lumindol at yung mag-ina ko nakasakay sa Ferris wheel sa Tagaytay noong lumilindol. Akala ni Pauleen Luna na yung ferris wheel kasi yung upuan iba ang galaw.

(Throughout the day, my mind was confused because there was an earthquake and my wife and daughter were riding the Ferris wheel in Tagaytay. Pauleen Luna thought it was the Ferris wheel because the seat was moving differently.)

"As the day went on, nag-Christmas party kami at doon pa lamang sa akin nag-sink in. Mukhang mabait naman ang tadhana sa aming tatlo at sa lahat ng dabarkads kaya malaking pasasalamat," Vic added.

(As the day went on, we had a Christmas party and it just sunk in for me. It seems that fate is kind to the three of us and to all the dabarkads, so a big thank you.)

On Dec. 5, people evacuated buildings in some parts of Metro Manila after an earthquake measuring 5.9 on the Richter Scale hit Luzon.

Experts did not expect damage, but warned of aftershocks.
