Illegal drugs seized, 17 individuals nabbed in Bulacan


At least P268,640 worth of illegal drugs was seized while 17 individuals were nabbed in several anti-criminality operations conducted by the Bulacan police on Tuesday and Wednesday, Dec. 5 and 6. 

In reports submitted to Lt. Col. Jacquiline P. Puapo, Bulacan police officer-in-charge, the joint forces from the Station Drug Enforcement Unit of Santa Maria, Regional Intelligence Unit 3, PDEA Bulacan, San Jose Del Monte City, Bocaue, Plaridel, Norzagaray, San Ildefonso, Santa Maria, and Angat municipal police stations conducted an anti-illegal drug operation that resulted in the arrest of 13 drug peddlers.

Confiscated from the arrested suspects were a total of 45 sachets of suspected shabu with an estimated weight of 38.6 grams and an estimated drug price value of P263,840; three sachets of suspected dried marijuana leaves with an estimated weight of 40 grams and an estimated drug price value of P4,800; drug paraphernalia, and buy-bust money.

The arrested suspects and the confiscated pieces of evidence were brought to the Bulacan Provincial Forensic Unit. Criminal complaints for violations of R.A. 9165 against the arrested suspects are now being prepared for filing in court.

Meanwhile, a manhunt operation conducted by the Tracker Team of Malolos City police and the Bulacan Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) resulted in the arrest of three individuals by virtue of an arrest warrant issued by the local court.

A 53-year-old male suspect from Little Baguio, Brgy. Poblacion, Baliwag City, was arrested by responding personnel of the Baliwag City police for violation of R.A. 10591, otherwise known as the “Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act” (Illegal Possession of Firearms and Ammunition), in Brgy. Poblacion, Baliwag City, at about 4:10 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 6.

Confiscated from the suspect was a one caliber.38 revolver with serial number PN12023049 loaded with six caliber.38 live bullets.

The arrested suspects hav been placed under the custody of the arresting stations/unit.
