A short synopsis was also written on the post about why the main character of the film Vermouth was in the Philippines.

"The story behind this goes back to when Vermouth flew to the Philippines and took her stay specifically in The Peninsula Manila Hotel at Ayala Avenue, Makati City, to carry out her plan to help Ai Haibara in return for her good deed.

When Vermouth knew that Haibara was captured, she immediately thought of a plan to help her.

Vermouth traveled to different places, including the Philippines, and disguised herself as Sherry to get rid of the organization's suspicion and make them believe that she was not actually Sherry -- that it was a mistake."
