Fellow slumping team Converge also eyes to arrest its own five-game slide against NorthPort in the curtain raiser at 4 p.m.
Magnolia looked simply untouchable having been undefeated stretching back from the PBA on Tour where it swept the pre-season tournament with an impeccable 11-0 record.
In all, the Hotshots are currently on a 16-game winning streak, largely due to the impressive play of import Tyler Bey along with the ample support of their potent local crew led by Paul Lee, Jio Jalalon and Mark Barroca.
More than its offensive firepower, Magnolia’s topnotch defense proved to be a tough nut crack, limiting its opponents to an average of 86.2 points – an output considerably low especially in an import-flavored conference.
A testament to that is when the Hotshots also held the NLEX Road Warriors to the season’s lowest score of 72 points in the last outing.
