Calumpit gov't opens new dialysis center

Calumpit, Bulacan Mayor Lem Faustino and Vice Mayor Zar Candelaria led the inauguration of a new dialysis center in Barangay Canionga, in the municipality on Tuesday, Dec. 5.

Mayor Faustino, in her message before doctors and staff of the Center for Disease Control (CDC), Sangguniang Bayan members Agnes Pangan, Lucy Diego, Thelma Dansalan, Jojo Pagdanganan, Ricky Viray, Alvin Danganan, Jun Bernardino and Mau Torres, said her constituents who need life-saving medical treatment can now avail of the free hemodialysis including medicines through PhilHealth.

Also present during the opening of the new Dialysis Center were Mr. Crispin De Luna and Bulacan Vice Governor Alexis C. Castro who both represented Governor Daniel R. Fernando, and lawyer Lyvette San Diego who represented First District Representative Danilo A. Domingo.

Castro said the Dialysis Center will surely help Calumpit residents because Governor Fernando's priority in the province is health.

Faustino thanked Vice Mayor Candelaria and the councilors, as well as PhilHealth, the Department of Health, Representative Domingo, Governor Fernando, Vice Gov Castro, and their partner Steritex for the realization of one of her dreams for Calumpitenos.

She said the CDC is one of her fulfilled missions and aims for more development projects that will give jobs and opportunities for Calumpitenos.
