P1.8-M shabu, marijuana seized in Cordillera


CAMP DANGWA, Benguet – Police seized suspected shabu and marijuana worth P1,826,800 in a week-long anti-drug operation from November 26 to December 2 in the Cordillera region.

The Police Regional Office-Cordillera Regional Operations Division said two suspected drug personalities, Bernard B. Pallay and Jaydee A. Espisa, were arrested for possession of a total of one gram of shabu worth P6,800.

The Benguet Provincial Police Office discovered 7,300 fully grown marijuana plants and 3,000 marijuana stalks with an overall Standard Drug Price of P1,820,000 in a marijuana eradication operation in the province.

Police burned these after documentation. Follow-up operations are being conducted to identify their cultivators.

Lawmen are continuously conducting barangay visitation and information campaign on the anti-illegal drugs campaign in the region.
