Police Capt. Michael Tuburan, head of Police Station 9, said they were allegedly speeding on their way home from a beach resort and overlapped into the opposite lane and collided with the vehicle.
Tuburan said that it was raining at that time and the road was slippery. The multi-cab driver, a fish vendor, was unharmed, he added.
The Police Station 9 chief said that Duay, who was driving the motorcycle, died on the spot, while Endrada sustained minor injuries and is confined at the Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital (CLMMRH) here.
Tuburan said the multi-cab driver was released on Monday following a settlement with the victims’ families.
