Mayor Sandoval leads opening, lighting of Paskuhan Village 2023


Malabon City Mayor Jeannie Sandoval led the opening and lighting of Paskuhan Village 2023 on Tuesday evening, Dec. 5, at the C4 Island, Barangay Longos in Malabon City.

In her opening speech, Sandoval emphasized that the event aimed to support small businesses as part of the city's recovery program.

"I will bring more jobs to Malabueños," Sandoval said.

"When you get to talk to our local vendors, you will understand why it means so much more to buy your gift from our Paskuhan Village," she added.

The Paskuhan Village is a project of the local government that provides an opportunity to Malabon local vendors to showcase their products in the Christmas Bazaar.

Aside from business opportunities, the Christmas bazaar delivers the vibes of this Holiday season.

The ceremonial lighting occurred after the traditional countdown which took place at 7 p.m.

The Paskuhan Village highlights various outlets that offer home-made delicacies from 13 local vendors.

According to the City's Public Information Office (PIO), the Paskuhan Village is open starting from 4 p.m. onward and will last until Dec. 30.

The Christmas Bazaar will also give visitors a chance to win raffle prizes from the donations of the Malabon Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Inc., (MCCI), Philippine Chines Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Inc., (PCCCII) E-Commerce Chapter, Philippine Malabon Cultural Institute, and Rotary Club of Malabon East, on Dec. 12.

The city mayor conveyed her gratitude to the event attendees for supporting this kind of initiative.

"Muli nais ko pong magpasalamat sa inyong lahat, sa inyong supporta at sa inyong pagiging bahagi ng espesyal na okasyong ito (Again, I would like to express my gratitude to all of you for your support and for being part of this special occasion)," she said.

"Patuloy po tayong magsilbing inspirasyon at tanglaw sa panahong ito ng Pasko (We will continue to be an inspiration and a source of light during this Christmas season)," she added.
