Marcos tells Bar passers: Uphold integrity, ensure fair justice system


President Marcos told Bar exam passers to uphold integrity and remain true to their commitment in becoming lawyers.

"As you begin your unique paths, stand firm in upholding integrity and remain true to the reasons that called you to practice law," Marcos said on X (formerly Twitter) on Tuesday, Dec. 5.

He also urged them to "remain united" to ensure that every Filipino is given a fair justice system.

"Remain united in ensuring that every Filipino has the benefit of a fair and equitable justice system," the President said.

"Congratulations to the passers of #Bar2023!" he added.

According to the Professional Regulation Commission, a total of 3,812 out of 10,387 Bar examinees passed the bar exams. This translates to a 36.77 percent passing rate.

Ephraim Porciuncula Bie from the University of Santo Tomas topped this year's Bar exam with a rating of 89.2625.

The top law school was the Ateneo de Manila University, registering 94.08 percent with more than 100 candidates.
