Headlining his first solo concert at Smart Araneta Coliseum last Nov. 28, Japanese singer-songwriter Joji gave his Pinoy fans an early Christmas gift.

Joji first came to Manila in 2022, being one of the headliners of 88Rising's Head in the Clouds Tour together with NIKI, Jackson Wang, Rich Brian and Jessi.

The full-house arena glimmers with lightsticks and unique banners as the fans wait for him to perform. Aside from that, his fans also took time to wear his iconic pink suit, which he was known for as the character of Pink Guy.

As the lights dimmed, the audience focused on the big screen. Joji entered the room with a chill vibe, wearing a laid-back outfit with a cap.

Joji took up the center stage and shouted to the audience, "Manila!" the crowd went wild when he opened the show with his song "Sanctuary." The visually appealing concert features Joji and his band standing on five LED podiums with aesthetic visuals in the background.

As the crowd sang along and gave their loudest cheers, Joji followed his performance with "Yeah Right," "Night Rider," and "Will He."

With the overwhelming support from the audience, Joji can't help but give his Pinoy fans a sweet message.

"Manila, man! Thank you for having us tonight! It's incredible to be here. We love it here man; the food is amazing, and the people are amazing. Everything is just so wonderful," Joji said.

With his lo-fi sound and heart-wrenching lyrics, Joji did not disappoint his fans by featuring cheeky memes to keep the fans' energy between his songs.

The concert got crazier when he transitioned to another fan-favorite song, "Pretty Boy," where he made a short intro of the song, saying, "Manila's got a lot of beautiful people…. I know a pretty boy when I see one."

He capped off the first set performing the songs "I Don't Wanna Waste My Time" and "Ew." At one point during the show, Joji came out on stage with his band wearing baklavas as they set the mood on the scene with his DJ set called "Yebi Labs."

Joji threw free merch, inflatable beach balls, and pool noodles. As each EDM beat drops, a smoke machine kicks off on stage, making the crowd crazier.

After the DJ set, Joji went to other melodramatic songs, "Die for You," "Like You Do," and "Can't Get Over You."

He also sang a throwback song from his SoundCloud days, "Plastic Taste," and ended the night with "Gimme Love."

As Joji went down on stage, the fans couldn't get enough of catching glimpse of him by shouting '"Joji!" and "Isa pa."

As a testament to his love for all the Pinoy fans, he came on stage once again and did an encore song of "Slow Dancing In the Dark” and “Glimpse of Us.”
