Fritz “Kid Tornado” Biagtan believes that he’s just one impressive performance away from joining his T-Rex MMA teammates on ONE Championship’s main roster.

Biagtan promises to be at his best as he eyes the US$100,000 contract to ONE when he takes on Babar Ali at ONE Friday Fights 44 on Friday, Dec. 8, inside Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.
Fresh off an impressive destruction of Deepak Bhardwaj, Biagtan shared that ONE officials have talked to him about potentially making the main roster if he keeps winning.
“The motivation is my goal. Right after the fight, a ONE official talked to me and told me, ‘Get ready for the big news. I will update in a few days.’ When I was in Bangkok, they said they would give me a big fight on 8 December against Babar Ali. If I show up and perform better than what I showed in my last fight, they could potentially give me a 100k contract on the big stage,” he said.
“This is big for me. There’s no way that I’ll say no to this. This is my chance and I don’t have plans of letting this go.”
Biagtan is 2-0 so far in the weekly Friday Fights spectacle, and another finish here could very well be his ticket to joining his fiance, Denice Zamboanga, and his good friends, Drex Zamboanga and Jeremy Miado, on the main roster.
“They just told me that if I perform well and [ONE Chairman and CEO] Chatri [Sityodtong] sees it, I can get that contract. If I don’t show up and perform, they’re just gonna give me another fight. A great performance will get me a contract for sure,” he said.
Make no mistake about it, though. Biagtan isn’t counting his eggs before they hatch – he plans to use that piece of information as motivation, but he promises not to get over-excited.
“I have to focus on this fight. One step at a time. We don’t need to rush. Of course, I envision myself making the top-five flyweights, but now my focus is on this match, so I’ll get there,” he said.
“I feel motivated and pressured. I’m all in. This is it. Let’s not put it to waste. Let’s give our best.”
