The Department of Health (DOH) recorded 192 new Covid-19 infections on Tuesday, Dec. 5, adding to the total national count of 4,125,957 cases.

The DOH Covid-19 tracker, however, revealed no new fatalities, maintaining the country's fatality rate at 1.6 percent.
Meanwhile, active cases stand at 3,332.
Recovery figures continue to rise, with 4,055,859 individuals having successfully recovered, marking a recovery rate of 98.3 percent, boosted by 171 additional recoveries.
Concerning Covid-19 bed occupancy, it said that 9.53 percent of the 1,846 designated ICU beds are in use, with 15.78 percent occupancy for non-ICU beds.
Of the 1,986 available mechanical ventilators, 109 are actively supporting Covid-19 patients.
Despite these numbers, the health department urged the public not to be complacent.
The DOH emphasized the ongoing importance of adhering to basic health standards, including wearing properly fitting face masks, staying in well-ventilated areas, and promptly isolating individuals with Covid-19 symptoms.
