H&T Wine Gallery houses the best cheese and bottles of wine for your family and friends to experience

The holiday season is all about getting together with family and friends and creating new memories. For many, the best way to make special moments is through curated food and drinks. If you’re among the many who are planning events for the festive season, a wine and cheese tasting can be the roght setup for you and your loved ones to reconnect and celebrate. The best place to experience that is at H&T Wine Gallery in Quezon City.

Led by fashion designer Happy Andrada and former hotelier Tanguy Gras, H&T Wine Gallery has been a go-to spot for diners who want to taste the best bottles of wine from all over the world, which are perfectly matched with its selection of tapas, sandwiches, and platters. Now celebrating its third year, the wine bar and café invites everyone to explore the unique cheeses of Europe.

Manila Bulletin Lifestyle got a chance to join the leaders of the eccentric wine gallery in a grand tasting event, which can be defined as fun, laid-back, and informative. It featured a series of goat, sheep, and hard and soft cow cheeses paired with Spanish rueda and French wine, as well as sparkling wine and Australian Moscato.

Our favorite part of the tasting showcased blue cheeses Roncari (cow) and Bleu D’Auvergne (sheep) paired with Jack Estate M-R Series Pink Moscato. Moscato is slightly sweeter than Rosé, which according to Tanguy, delightfully contrasts the earthy flavors of blue cheese. As for this author, blue cheese is best enjoyed with a spread of blueberry jam on crusty bread. The play of textures matched with the notes of cheese and jam gives a well-rounded tasting experience, which is perfectly finished with a sip of Moscato.

H&T Wine Gallery can host all sorts of events and can customize its menu based on its guests’ needs and budget. Diners can expect new experiences from the bar as its wine selection by glass changes every two weeks. This allows guests to taste new labels with Tanguy leading them through every sip.

People can also bring the wine and cheese tasting experience at home with its Christmas Hampers. In the spirit of the season of giving, a portion of the sales of the hampers will be given for the benefit of the Bethany House Sto. Nino Orphanage in Bulacan.
