'Amihan' to be dominant wind system in PH for the following days --- PAGASA

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) on Tuesday, Dec. 5, said the northeast monsoon or "amihan" will continue to be the "dominant" wind system in the country for the next two to three days.

Weather specialist Chris Perez said the wind from the northeast will still prevail in the country, particularly in the large parts of Luzon.

In its 4 p.m. live forecast, PAGASA said partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers will be expected in Luzon, particularly in the northern portion.

Perez added that PAGASA is not expecting any Low Pressure Area (LPA) that may affect, enter, or form in the country's area of responsibility in the following days.

Meanwhile, the eastern portion of the country may expect hot and humid weather conditions due to the easterlies or the warm winds coming from the Pacific Ocean.

However, PAGASA said isolated rains with thunderstorms may still be expected in Visayas and Mindanao in the next 24 hours also due to the easterlies.
