No tsunami threat from the 6.8-magnitude Surigao del Sur quake — Phivolcs
The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) on Monday, Dec. 4 said there is no tsunami threat following the magnitude 6.8 earthquake that rocked Surigao del Sur.

The epicenter of the earthquake was located 67 kilometers northeast of Cagwait, Surigao del Sur, at a depth of one kilometer.

"No destructive tsunami threat exists," it said, adding that “no action” is required.
