In January 2018, he announced their plan to get married. She gave birth to their first child in May 2018.

Yul-hee debuted in Laboum in 2014 and after she revealed her relationship with Minhwan in 2017, she left the group.

Choi Min-hwan and Kim Yul-hee have three children: Choi Ja-yeul, 5; and twins Choi A-yoon and Choi A-rin, both two years old.

The two announced their divorce on Instagram and said the three children will be raised by their father.

“After much effort and conversation, my husband and I decided to support each other in our respective paths. Although our journey as a couple has ended here, it is not the end for us as the children's mother and father, so we are both doing our best to care for and communicate with our children,” wrote Yul-hee on Instagram.

She added, “Currently, after much thought, the father has decided that it is right for the children to stay in the same space they have been living in to avoid practical problems and psychological anxiety as much as possible.”

“I also spend time meeting with the children frequently so that they do not feel the absence of their mother,” she said.

Choi Min-hwan also posted on Instagram and said, “After a long discussion, my wife and I agreed to end our marriage. We are sorry to everyone who supported and watched our decision to start a family at a young age.”

“I am grateful and truly sorry to my family, team members, and fans who supported me. Also, I will do my best until the end to play my role as a father so that my children will not be left with any heartache,” he said.
