The Department of Health (DOH) said on Monday, Dec. 4, that 1,340 new Covid-19 cases were recorded from Nov. 28 to Dec. 4.

The health department noted that these cases showed a 10 percent "increase" with an average daily count of 191 cases compared to the previous week, or from Nov. 21 to 27.
Based on the latest data, 11 of the newly reported cases have been classified as "severe” or “critical.”
The DOH stated that there have been no deaths recorded from Nov. 21 to Dec. 4.
It was also recorded that hospitals nationwide admitted a total of 253 severe and critical Covid-19 patients for treatment.
Of the 1,361 ICU beds designated for Covid-19 patients, 158, or 11.6 percent, are currently occupied.
Additionally, 2,037 out of 11,624 non-ICU Covid-19 beds, constituting 17.5 percent, are in use.
The DOH urged the public to remain vigilant, emphasizing the importance of adhering to public health standards, including wearing masks, seeking well-ventilated areas, and immediate isolation if symptomatic under Alert Level 1.
Moreover, the health department reported that approximately 78 million people in the country have received Covid-19 vaccinations, surpassing the target population by 100.44 percent.
